Wanda Montgomery kicked off the 2002 -03 calendar of events for September at the Woman's City Club. Wanda brought samples of her current creations, which included a book, referred to as a Round Robin that circulated to various artists who contributed autographed pages, then returned to the original artist. She demonstrated experimental techniques to be used in her upcoming workshop to be held at The Cuyahoga Valley Art Center in October.

November's league highlight was several WAL member's participating in Arts Alive! A benefit for the Akron Area Arts Alliance - a fundraiser held at Quaker Square's Crown Plaza. Elinore Korow, Betty Wolfe, Donna Cetnarowski and Linda Nye created interesting, innovative and very beautiful boxes for the silent auction and dinner. All the boxes were sold and the Akron Arts Alliance more than met their goal for promoting and supporting the local artists and programs. Below are some pictures that highlight this wonderful event.
